BUILDING DIALOGUE
Building Dialogue is a collective role game in which players immerse themselves in a provocative scenario and are guided to question the role of design as a tool for the creation of alternative solutions to climate emergencies and social injustice. The aim is to offer the participants of the game a space to work as a collective team to discuss and activate reflection, find solutions, and seek pluralities of interventions and visions. Participants of the game are presented with a given scenario and are invited to act as players and use their skills and resources to consider their positionality with the given topic. They can interact, offer solutions, speculate, simulate or activate future possibilities as well as disrupt the given scenario.
Building Dialogue has been co-designed in collaboration with the Collective of Social Designers.
It has been commissioned by MU Hybrid Art House, RCA - Royal College London, Kazerne, PlanB (Eindhoven), and Dutch Design Week 2022.
